Remain Silent: Do not talk to the police and do not make any statements regarding until you have consulted with legal counsel. Just remember you have the absolute right to remain silent! Search Warrants: Always remember that your residence cannot be searched unless you provide them with consent to do so, or if they have a search warrant. If they have a search warrant you must let them search your residence. If they don’t have a search warrant don’t consent to a voluntary search of your home or apartment.
