On behalf of Werking Law, posted in DUI Defense
The Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Indians have a long standing divisional rivalry that added a new wrinkle. A recent MLB.com article revealed that Indians veteran right fielder Austin Kearns was arrested and charged with DUI in Kentucky just before heading to Arizona for spring training with his team. Not to be outdone, the all-star first baseman for the Detroit Tigers, Miguel Cabrera, was also arrested and charged with DUI just before the beginning of Tiger spring training in Florida.
After being arrested, both players were in training camp and it is believed that neither will miss any playing time this season. While some fans are questioning if preferential treatment was given to the athletes by authorities, a top Denver DUI lawyer points out that having experienced legal representation in a DUI case can minimize or even eliminate any time off of work.
