Yet Another MLB Player Arrested for DUI

On behalf of Werking Law, posted in DUI Defense

An experienced Denver DUI lawyer was surprised to see yet another Major League Baseball player arrested for suspicion of DUI recently. This time it’s Oakland Athletics veteran Coco Crisp. Crisp was arrested early Wednesday in Scottsdale, where the A’s hold their spring training, after police observed Crisp “driving erratically.” According to the police report, Crisp had a BAC of .13, higher than allowed by law.

This is the 3rd DUI related arrest of an MLB player in as many weeks. Detroit’s Miguel Cabrera was arrested last month in Florida on DUI charges, and Cleveland’s Austin Kearns is facing a similar charge after being pulled over in Kentucky and arrested on Feb. 12.
