Labor Day Weekend is typically a time when we see a high number of DUI arrests. That goes for high profile celebrities too. Fresh on the heels of the recent DUI arrest of Matt Hardy, former Olympic champion and current pro wrestler Kurt Angle was arrested for DUI early Sunday morning in Virginia. According to police, another motorist called to report that Angle’s car was swerving on the highway. Police officers did not release information about Angle’s blood-alcohol level.
Angle won a gold medal as an amateur wrestler at the 1996 Olympics and is now a star for Impact Wrestling, a professional circuit formerly known as TNA that airs on Spike TV. Kurt Angle’s lawyers reported on his current DUI charge, “We understand Kurt will be entering a plea of not guilty in response to any infractions and/or offenses.”
